In a new book chapter, Stef Wittendorp and I build on previous work and explore how the concept of the “security/mobility nexus” can be used as an analytical lens to study empirical cases where security and mobility are governed as interrelated phenomena. It is part of a volume, edited by Heidi Hein-Kircher and Werner Distler, that interrogates the role of security and mobility in the production of social order from a historical perspective. The book is available as free open access version here.
