The Research Handbook on Privacy and Data Protection Law, edited by Rosamunde Van Brakel, Gloria González-Fuster and Paul de Hert, has now been published.
I have contributed a chapter on “Privacy, Data Protection, and Security Studies” that reviews the growing importance of these legal concepts vis-à-vis the increasing use of digital data for security purposes and summarizes how the literature has analyzed these relations so far.
